"Um. . . Adam?"

Adam was staring up at the sky, not even taking notice in his friend. "You're thinking about her again aren't you?" Adam hesitantly nodded before finally meeting his friend's eyes. "Yeah, . . . I know this is going to be a repeat of what I've been rambling on about for the past few months, but I just can't seem to not miss her." Adam let out a faint chuckle before smiling. "Even though she'll be coming back in a few days."

"She went to an art school right?" Aaron asked, trying to break the streak of awkward silence forming between the two. A bigger smile seemed to find it's way onto Adam's face as he nodded. "Yeah, it took some time, but I finally was able to convince her to go." Aaron nodded before lightly smacking Adam on the back. "Well, look at it this way, at least she'll be coming home this week, right?" Adam nodded.

"Hey, um I'm going to head home. I'll talk to you later, ok?" Aaron smiled, knowing well that he was itching to call her. "Alright, later Adam."

~~~
Adam nervoulsy anxiously hit her speed dial number, dieing to hear her voice again.
Beep...
Beep...
Beep...
"Hello?"
"Yaz! I was starting to think that you wouldn't answer."
"Come on, Adam, you know me better than that. What's up?"
Adam sighed, relieved that he reached her at a reasonable time. "Nothing much. I just wanted to talk to you again." Adam could hear her laugh on the other end and smiled.
"So, how'd your day go? Better than mine hopefully. . ." She said, a slight tone of annoyance laced in. Adam bit his bottom lip lightly and thought for a moment. "Well, it's pretty much the same as any other day. Working on music, eating, working, then at the end o the day sleeping. . ." Adam sighed slightly and continued on. "But of course, let's not forget our wonderful conversatiosn we share." Once again she laughed and listened on. "And you?"
"Ah, sort of the same. Counting down the days till I see you again. In person though, love. On a pc screen isn't enough for me." Adam thought for a moment and smiled to himself. If only he could wrap his arms around her right now. He'd be a liar if he said he was content with a few phone calls and video chats, but he wasn't. He missed running a hand through her hair, the smell of her perfume, and even the way her eyes seemed to sparkle when she smiled. Sadly he couldn't. The distance between there and London was killing him.
"Adam?"
Her voice snapped Adam out of his thoughts. "Uh. . .Yeah?"
"Are you alright? You seem to be a bit distracted." He nodded as if she could see him through the phone. "Yeah, I'm fine--" A audible yawn broke Adam's sentence. "I, uh. . . guess I'd better be heading to bed, I promise to call you tomorrow. Alri--"
"I know you will, love. Just don't over do yourself ok?" Adam choked out a yes before he finally hit the end button. Adam stood up and stretched from having sit in the same position for some time. Another yawn slipped from him. "Tired, tired, tired. . ." He drawled, slowly making his way towards the bedroom.
-Meanwhile Over In London-
. . .
Yaz slowly set down her cellphone before letting out a deep sigh. Sure, being in London to finish her degree was everything she wanted, but leaving everyone she loved behind was hard. She had met a couple people here to talk to every once in a while-- just not anyone that could compare to Adam and her beloved family and friends. She turned her gaze towards the window and stood up. Even though London was far away, she did love the small tea shops that littered the streets. Her favorite one was a local coffee and tea shop named Maison Bertaux. Sure, the cakes on the menu were a bit pricey, but the tea there was like no other.
Hmm. . . Maybe I should go in for a cup. . .
She quickly grabbed her coat and wallet/purse(?) [1] and headed out the door.
--
"Hey, Yaz! How's it been mate?"
Since being in London for over a year, she had made some friends, one of which was an average British boy with wine red hair and dark blue eyes. His name was Aaric Kendryck and due to his hair color she had developed quite a habit of calling him "Red".
"Evening Red. What ya' got for me today?" Aaric's eyes lit up as he motioned her over. She approached the counter and hopped over it, standing behind the counter. "Ok, trust me, you'll love this one." She nodded hesitantly as she watched her friend grab a tea cup from the marbled counter and pour the hot water. Her nose immediately picked up the delicious scent of tea leaves and different combinations of berries. Aaric caught a glance at her and smiled to himself before handing her the decadent drink. "Drink up." Yaz grabbed the cup, not even realizing her hand brushing lightly against Aaric's. Aaric's hand immeidately shot back as a light blush rose to his cheeks. "U-um. . . So when do you head back to the States?"
She swallowed lightly before smiling brightly. "In a couple of days, isn't it great?"
Aaric frowned and looked down, not wanting to gaze into her eyes. "Well, to be honest, not really. I mean, I really need to tell you something. . ."
Her eyes shot up from the tea in suprisement.
What the hell did he need to talk about?
"Aaric, are you o-okay?" Aaric looked up and shook his head. "No, I'm not. Ok, here it is, I-I--" Aaric's fists clenched tightly. "I want you to stay here in London with me!"
So, yeah, lame beginning right?
Anyways, OMG! Hidden feelings for a friend? *Le Gasp* Like no one has ever seen that before.
